What's new in ToolBook II Instructor 8.0?
The following is a list of new and enhanced features available in ToolBook II Instructor 8.0:
e-Learning Network (eLN) site - ToolBook II Instructor 8.0 comes with an eLN site that can host up to 100 users. This site is provided at no charge for one year after product or upgrade purchase. ToolBook developers can use this site to share their content with other registered users, track user progress through the course, and produce learning management reports.
Expanded Support for Learning Standards - DHTML deployment now supports both the AICC HTTP protocol and the SCORM 1 (AICC API) protocol. Neuron deployment now supports the AICC HTTP protocol.
Improvements to DHTML Deployment - Version 8.0 has several new features that will assist developers with creating, exporting and running DHTML-deployed Instructor applications:
Event Actions (EA) System Improvements - The EA System has several new enhancements and features:
New Catalog Interface - The catalog has been optimized to run faster. The new dockable user interface makes adding catalog objects to Instructor courses much simpler. Icons representing catalog objects are now in 16-bit color and the entire interface is customizable to show the entire catalog, or just a subset of favorite objects.
Multiple bug fixes and feature enhancements for the AutoPackager including:
Authoring Tools - Several authoring tools have been added to Instructor including:
New Ask and Request Boxes - OpenScript ASYM_Ask() and ASYM_Request() functions allow for more features such as icon selection, customizable response buttons and the ability to use Rich Text Format (RTF).
Open, Save, and Save As dialog boxes have been updated to 32-bit versions with the standard features such as directory creation, file renaming and deleting, and access to the desktop.
